Day 1: Hanoi - Ba Be (L, D)

Ba Be Lake is situated in Bac Kan province which is 240 km northeast of Ha Noi Capital. We arrive in Ba Be Lake early in the afternoon, take a rest, have dinner and stay overnight in a local Tay minority family in their traditional wooden stilt house.

Day 2: Ba Be Forest Trek (B, L, D)

After waking up, you will have breakfast at 8am.
8:30 am, local guide will take you to visit Coc Toc village and continue going on foot to upland and stop in Na Nghe village (Cash Dao peoples) then have lunch there. In the afternoon the guide will take you to visit the mountains, valley and the stilt houses, School of the Cash Dao children. Then, you will have dinner with the local people and stay all night at their homes.

Day 3: Ba Be Lake Boat Trip (B, L, D)

After having breakfast with the local people of Na Nghe village, you and your guide will say "goodbye" to the Cash Dao peoples.
8:30 am. Go through trail with your guide to visit Nam Dai village then go down the forest to visit Dau Dang waterfall which is within two provinces Bac Kan and Tuyen Quang then have a hard trek to the Dau Dang waterfall and have lunch in a restaurant near the waterfall. When you finish the lunch, you will have a boat tour up the river to visit Puong cave where inhabits over 1000 bats with 18 generals and famous with a lost of stalactite and stalagmite. The boat will go on the Nang river which runs through the cave into Ba Be lake. After visiting the Fairy pond and the An Ma temple, you will return the lake-shore restaurant. Stay in the home-stay.

Day 4: Cao Bang - Ban Gioc Waterfall (B, L, D)

Jeep ride to Cao Bang then Ban Gioc, visit the waterfall. On this day you'll take a scenic insightful day trip north of Cao Bang to the beautiful Ban Gioc waterfall near the Chinese border. This picturesque, cascading waterfall is 53 meters high and has an impressive span of 300 meters. The drive there offers unique landscapes, limestone karst formations soar from the verdant rice paddies of the surrounding farms of local ethnic minorities. Along the way, you'll see Tay, Hmong and Dzao ethnic minority groups. Heading back to Cao Bang, stop to explore the expansive 2, 144 meter Nguom Ngao Cavern to discover its brilliant stalactites. Dinner on guest's account. Return to Cao Bang and overnight at hotel. 

Day 5: Cao Bang - Phuc Hoa - Dong Khe - That Khe (B, L, D)

Ta Lung national entrance –La village 15 km (04 hours). Drive from Cao Bang town to the Ta Lung national entrance 70 km, visit the national entrance. Have lunch there. Go on walking along the valley and lime stone mountain from Ta Lung to La village about 15 km. Dinner on guest's account. Overnight at the Tay’s stilt - house. 

Day 6: La Village - Na Nieng Village (B, L, D) 

After breakfast in local family we continue walking and climbing the lime stone mountains, through La village where Nung ethnic people are living. It constitute the seventh largest ethnic minority group in Vietnam. A picnic lunch will be reserved by local guide, after lunch we travel along the lime stone to the Na Nieng village. Diner and overnight at the Tay ‘s stilt - house. 

Day 7: Na Nieng - Pac Khoang Village (B, L, D)

After breakfast we leave the Na Nieng village to Dong Khe town on walk 12km, the Battle of Dong Khe was a major battle of the First Indochina War fought at Đông Khê. The fight took place in Dong Khe, in the Province of Tonkin, from September 15 to September 18, 1950, ending with a Viet Minh victory, lunch in Dong Khe. We continue to the Pac Khoang village. A dinner on guest'saccount. Overnight at the Red Dao ‘s village. 

Day 8: Pa Khoang - Na Pang (B, L, D)

After breakfast we trek through lime stone valley, the small streams. Stop for lunch. Continue walking to Na Pang village, Trang Dinh district – Lang Son. Dinner on guest's account. Overnight at Tay’s stilt-house. 

Day 9: Na Pang - That Khe - Hanoi (B, L)

After breakfast, we trek to That Khe town. if the time permit we can visit Mother pagoda, a famous place for Buddhism on the north. After lunch we drive back Hanoi. Stop over in Lang Son. End the tour.
