The tour begins with an orientation tour in the tranquility World Heritage Site Luang Prabang City. You will then experience the 2-day outdoor soft adventure package with Laos Spirit Resort, a charming bungalow-styled eco-lodge which is 15 km away from the town centre. The rest of the trip will be in Southern Laos, where still keeps its unspoiled beautiful scenery and slow-pace life with friendly local people.

DAY 1: LUANG PRABANG ARRIVAL (_/_/_)

 

Arriving in Luang Prabang International Airport, you'll be welcomed and driven to your hotel. Luang Prabang is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos. In the evening, you'll stroll around the city's Night Market offering handmade textiles woven by local people and ethnic minority communities. You will spend the night in Luang Prabang.

DAY 2: LUANG PRABANG CITY (B/L/_)

 

After breakfast, you will enjoy a guided-tour seeing the city's oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. You will then visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun. In the late afternoon, you will climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a panoramic view of the city at sunset and the Mekong River. The rest of the day will be free to wander around the ancient street or just relax with a Laos's beer along the Nam Khan River. You will spend the nigh in Luang Prabang.

DAY 3: LUANG PRABANG / LAO SPIRIT ADVENTURE (ELEPHANT + RAFTING) (B/L/_)

 

This is a full day trip combining a rafting tour out of town with some sightseeing and an exciting elephant ride to / from Tad Sae Waterfall (or alternative route in dry season).

After breakfast at your hotel, you will proceed to the Adventure and Elephant camp located 15 km out of town in the middle of unspoiled, natural green surroundings. After crossing the small river you are introduced to our Asian Elephants and venture on a 1hr - 1hr 30 minutes enchanting journey through forests, plantations and fields. This activity programme provides you with a breathtaking and unique experience as you make your way through forests and along the Nam Khan River up to the waterfalls of Tad Sae. After visiting the waterfall, lunch is served before a relaxing 30-minute rafting tour along the river back to the resort. The evening is free at your leisure. You will spend the night at Lao Spirit Resort.

DAY 4: LUANG PRABANG/PAKSE/KHONE ISLAND (B/L/_)

 

This morning, you will visit The National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of the artefacts and the Central Market. After that, you will catch an afternoon flight to Pakse. On arrival at Pakse, you will be driven on the National Road No. 13th south to Done Khone Island by long tail local boat. Done Khone is the largest island in the South Mekong river region known as the 4000 islands and it is one of the most scenic areas in Laos. Your overnight accommodation will be in Don Khone Island.

DAY 5: DON KHONE ISLAND SURROUNDING / KHONE PHAPHENG RESORT (B/L/_)

 

After an early breakfast, you will explore the local villages of Ban Khone, where you will see an array of relics from the French colonial era and retrace the old colonial past, including old French colonial buildings and the remnants of the first Lao railway with it's locomotive. You will then continue discovering the 4000 islands area by boat to visit the Liphi waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls marking the end of Lao border to Cambodia. With lucks, you may even see the rare freshwater Irrawaddy Mekong dolphin at Ban Hang Khone. In the late afternoon, you wil return to Ban Nakasang and drive to famous waterfalls of Khone Phapeng, the largest waterfall in South East Asia, known as Niagara of the east where you will spend the night.

 

DAY 6: KHONE PHAPHENG RESORT/VEUNKHAN (CAMBODIA BORDER) DEPARTURE (B/_/_)

 

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Dongkalor or Veumkham border gate for departure. Tour ends.
